Volkswagen I.D.

I.D. is a visionary concept car from Volkswagen which premiered in Paris in 2016. It is a prelude of the brand's next generation of electric and autonomous vehicles. The I.D. will be powered by a 170 PS electric motor (I should rather write 125 kW) with a range up to 600 km. Ascetic interior will offer "no switches, no sticks, just screens...". I.D. is to be launched in 2020 parallel to Golf, while VW estimates that it will cost much as today's Golf diesel with comparable power. By 2025 I.D. will also feature fully automated driving. Don't forget to charge your iPhone, since a smartphone will be used as a key to open the car and enable it to start!
