RUF CTR3 (premiered 2007) is an extreme mashup between 987 Cayman and 911 (997) Turbo. As the former, it is mid-engined and rear-wheel-drive, but features the flat-six of the latter. It was boosted up to 700PS and came with manual transmission only (PDK was introduced in later Clubsport model in 2012). The body designed by RUF shared many parts of both models, however, was built on a dedicated platform. Only around 30 of these were ever made. Last year, one of the last examples was sold at Sotheby's for EUR 1,1m.
