Following its predecessor, Opel Kadett B was advertised with a slogan "Opel Kadett, in short O.K.". Indeed, it was based on relatively simple construction, featured practical and functional design, and was offered at a competitive price. Also, the car was available in as much as eight body options, including this 2-door limousine / sedan. All this allowed Kadett B to successfully compete against the market leader, Volkswagen Beetle. As such, in the years 1965-1973 a number of 2,691,300 examples were built marking this generation one of the most successful models in the company's history.
